In a neoclassical townhouse on a prestigious avenue in Ghent, poetic and sophisticated spaces have been reimagined to create a warm cocoon for a young couple. For this design, we let intuition take the lead, harmonising classical elements with original design choices.

The oxblood-red hallway invites you into an intimate office space featuring a custom-built library wall crafted from fine wood, Calacatta Viola marble, and curved handles. The geometric pattern of the wallpaper interacts beautifully with the mustard-hued wall-to-wall carpet. Vintage objects complete the chiaroscuro effect in this space, adding a touch of timeless elegance.

The sinuous design language continues in the impressive bathroom, where the bespoke vanity in Calacatta Oro marble and oak takes centre stage, complemented by playful, custom-designed mirrors. Curved elements reappear throughout, such as in the Fornace Brioni floor tiles, which seamlessly extend into the dressing room.

The majestic shower immediately catches the eye, with white-and-blue Moroccan Zellige tiles striking a stunning contrast against the classical silver fixtures. The thoughtful symmetry of the two arches enhances the opulent atmosphere reminiscent of an Italian palazzo, while the freestanding bathtub and traditional pleated curtains lend a refined British touch.

Finally, the bedroom, enveloped in warm colours and soft fabrics, invites you to unwind after a long day. Built-in wardrobes blend seamlessly into the terracotta-hued walls, creating a serene and cohesive space. The result is atmospheric, poetic, and mysterious, designed straight from the heart.
