Orac, global leader and manufacturer of architectural wall elements, sought a new way to showcase their products at their headquarters, one that transcends the traditional showroom format. Inspired by the illusionistic architecture of the Galleria Spada in Rome, the space plays with perspective and proportion to dramatic effect. A gradually narrowing corridor draws the eye inward, creating an optical illusion that invites curiosity.
The design is infused with a cinematic tension, evocative of David Lynch’s surreal aesthetics, while also capturing the refined atmosphere of an international boutique hotel. A bold, monochromatic red palette sets the tone: enveloping arches, ornate cornices, and velvet-soft textures conjure a sense of warmth and theatrical elegance.
Sculptural elements and layered volumes lend rhythm and intrigue, guiding the visitor through a spatial experience that is both immersive and emotive. Subtle gloss finishes catch the light, enhancing the depth and richness of the materials. The result is a showroom that blurs the line between art installation and interior design: a stage for Orac’s craft, elevated to a place of wonder.
